Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused Mohs Surgeon to join a well-established dermatology practice in Avon, CT. This full-time opportunity offers the ability to work in a collaborative, high-demand practice with a strong referral network and modern clinical facilities.
The ideal candidate will specialize in Mohs micrographic surgery while also providing comprehensive dermatologic care as needed. This position is ideal for a physician committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes with a focus on skin cancer treatment and reconstruction.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Mohs micrographic surgery for the treatment of skin cancers
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage dermatologic conditions related to skin cancer
Conduct patient consultations, biopsies, excisions, and reconstructive procedures
Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients on skin health and preventive care
Collaborate with dermatologists, primary care physicians, and referring providers
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation within EMR systems
Ensure high standards of patient safety, quality care, and patient satisfaction
Participate in practice growth initiatives and maintain strong referral relationships
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Fellowship-trained in Mohs Micrographic Surgery preferred
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology
Active or eligible Connecticut medical license
Strong surgical and diagnostic skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
