Labor & Delivery RN – Parsons, KS

Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Role Snapshot

This L&D role offers a well-rounded experience in a community hospital setting, covering labor, triage, postpartum, nursery care, and occasional GYN patients.

Unit Overview

• ~15 deliveries per month
• Follows AWHONN staffing guidelines
• 2 FP/OB physicians + 2 part-time OB/GYNs
• Supported by 3 board-certified pediatricians
• Level 1 nursery

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage laboring patients and triage cases
• Provide postpartum and newborn care
• Support nursery operations (Level 1)
• Assist with GYN-related patient care
• Occasionally care for low-acuity surgical patients during low census

Important Notes

• No OR scrub or circulate responsibilities for C-sections
• OR located on L&D floor
• Night shift does not recover C-section patients

Schedule Details

• 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a)
• Consistent L&D coverage in a smaller hospital setting
