Med-Surg Ortho / Neurology RN | Night Shift

Facility: Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center – Janesville
Location: Janesville, Wisconsin
Shift: Nights | 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Rotation: Every other weekend and holidays

Mercyhealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide care to adult patients in Med-Surg Orthopedic and Neurology settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams while delivering safe, patient-centered care.

Core Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, policies, and standards of care.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement and shared governance activities.
• Apply critical thinking to patient safety and experience concerns.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to other units or departments as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license.
• Current NIHSS certification.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Education verification required.
• Previous experience in Med-Surg, Orthopedics, and/or Neurology preferred.

Additional Information: Travel RNs may be required to float to other units. Weekend and holiday coverage is required as part of the schedule.
