Medical-Surgical RN (M/S) – Night Shift

Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Facility: UAB St. Vincent’s Hospital
Shift: 12-hour night shifts

Position Overview

UAB St. Vincent’s Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical RN for a night shift assignment. This role is ideal for travel nurses who are comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to medical-surgical patients
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience
• Prior travel experience required
• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Active RN license (Alabama or Compact)
• BLS certification required
