M/S - MEDICAL SURGICAL

Medical-Surgical RN – Manistique, MI

Facility: Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Duration: 13 Weeks | June/July/August Coverage
Hours: 48 Hours Guaranteed

About the Unit

• 12-bed Med-Surg department
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4
• Team includes charge nurse, floor nurses, CNAs, and unit clerk
• Supportive staffing model for safe patient care

Role Expectations

• Provide direct Med-Surg patient care
• Manage a mix of adult and pediatric patients (required)
• Handle occasional respiratory support (BiPAP)
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips as needed
• Collaborate with a well-structured care team

Schedule Details

• Night shifts: 7p–7a
• Every other weekend
• Holiday coverage as requested
• 13-week assignment with 48 hours/week guaranteed

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN License
• AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience
• Pediatric experience required
