Nuclear Medicine Technologist | Diagnostic Imaging

Facility: Mercyhealth Hospital and Medical Center – Walworth
Location: Lake Geneva, Wisconsin
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Mercyhealth is seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures and produce high-quality images for physician interpretation. The technologist will provide safe, compassionate patient care while ensuring accurate imaging, radioactive isotope handling, and compliance with nuclear medicine safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures and related diagnostic imaging techniques.
  • Prepare and educate patients before procedures to promote cooperation and reduce anxiety.
  • Operate nuclear medicine and associated imaging equipment.
  • Position and safely immobilize patients as needed for examinations.
  • Select appropriate imaging parameters according to established protocols.
  • Perform venipuncture and establish and maintain venous access.
  • Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes using the correct isotope and dosage.
  • Evaluate images and data for technical quality.
  • Process and manipulate digital imaging data for physician review.
  • Use PACS and radiology information systems to complete documentation, archive images, and submit studies for interpretation.
  • Document procedure details, medication reconciliation, and other required information in the electronic medical record.
  • Follow radiation and nuclear medicine safety procedures and report incidents or adverse events.
  • Order radiopharmaceuticals according to vendor-specific protocols.
  • Assist with PET services as needed.
  • Provide patients with appropriate discharge instructions following examinations.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • Education verification required.
  • CNMT or ARRT(N) certification.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

This is a consistent Monday–Friday daytime opportunity for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist seeking a stable schedule in a patient-focused diagnostic imaging environment.
