Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $375,000 – $425,000 annually

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join a growing and well-established ophthalmology practice serving the New Britain and Wethersfield, CT markets. This full-time opportunity offers access to a strong patient base, advanced technology, and a collaborative clinical environment dedicated to delivering exceptional eye care.

The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive ophthalmologic services, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of ocular conditions while maintaining a strong focus on patient satisfaction and quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnostic evaluations
  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of ophthalmologic conditions and diseases
  • Provide medical and surgical ophthalmology care as appropriate
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
  • Utilize advanced ophthalmic diagnostic and imaging technology
  • Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and preventive care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within EMR systems
  • Collaborate with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
  • Active or eligible Connecticut medical license
  • Strong clinical and surgical ophthalmology skills preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Fellowship training is welcomed but not required
