Job Type: Full-Time (FTE)
Compensation: $375,000 – $425,000 annually

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Glaucoma Specialist Ophthalmologist to join a growing ophthalmology practice serving the New Britain and Wethersfield, CT markets. This full-time opportunity offers access to a well-established patient base, advanced diagnostic technology, and a collaborative clinical environment dedicated to delivering exceptional eye care.

The ideal candidate will specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of glaucoma and related ocular diseases while providing comprehensive ophthalmologic care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage glaucoma and other complex ocular conditions
  • Perform glaucoma-related surgical and laser procedures
  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnostic evaluations
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient outcomes
  • Utilize advanced ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and imaging technologies
  • Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment options, and long-term eye health
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation within EMR systems
  • Collaborate with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
  • Fellowship training in Glaucoma preferred
  • Active or eligible Connecticut medical license
  • Strong clinical and surgical ophthalmology skills
  • Excellent communication and patient relationship skills
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
