Skilled Nursing RN | Short-Term Assignment

Facility: Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center – Janesville
Location: Janesville, Wisconsin
Schedule: 0.9 FTE | Day Shift | 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
Assignment Length: 8 weeks
Rotation: Every third weekend and holidays

Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients in its Skilled Nursing units. This short-term opportunity is ideal for an RN with strong clinical judgment and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic inpatient environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, policies, and applicable regulations.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement and shared governance activities.
• Use clinical expertise and critical thinking to promote patient safety and positive outcomes.
• Escalate patient care concerns through the appropriate chain of command.

Required Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Education verification required.
• Previous Skilled Nursing experience preferred.

Additional Information: The traveler may be required to float to other inpatient units based on census and staffing needs. This is an 8-week assignment with a 0.9 FTE day-shift schedule.
