Speech-Language Pathologist – Full-Time Day Shift

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin
Facility: Mile Bluff Medical Center
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Hours: Full-Time | 80 Hours Per Pay Period
Weekends & Holidays: No Required Rotation

Position Overview

Mile Bluff Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. This role focuses on helping patients communicate more effectively, swallow safely, and achieve improved outcomes through evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform speech, language, and swallowing evaluations and treatments
• Develop individualized plans of care and monitor patient progress
• Complete evaluations, progress reports, discharge summaries, and other required documentation
• Educate nurses, physicians, dietitians, food service staff, patients, and families on evaluation findings and recommendations
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient-centered treatment
• Develop staff in-service presentations and educational opportunities
• Contact insurance providers regarding patient benefits
• Prepare treatment areas and maintain clean therapy spaces
• Assist patients and families with navigating hospital services
• Provide reminder calls and perform other related duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current Wisconsin Speech-Language Pathologist License
• BLS Certification
• Valid, current driver’s license

Preferred Experience & Skills

• 1+ year of related experience preferred
• Hospital experience is a plus
• Strong assessment, planning, analytical, and documentation skills
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
• Intermediate computer proficiency
• Excellent attention to detail
