ICU RN Opportunity – Sterling, IL

We’re looking for an experienced Critical Care RN to join the team at CGH Medical Center.

Details:

• Location: Sterling, Illinois

• Shift: 12-hr nights (7p)

• Schedule: Every 3rd weekend

• Hours: 36/week guaranteed

• Start Date: 10/13 or 10/20

Requirements:

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission

• ACLS, BLS, TNCC required

• Prior CCU travel experience

• Epic EMR experience (must-have)

• Minimal to no RTO

This role is ideal for seasoned ICU travelers ready to step into a fast-paced CCU environment with strong support.

Operating Room RN – Sterling, IL (URGENT Backfill)

Facility: CGH Medical Center
Shift: 5x8s, M–F (Day Shift)
Guaranteed Hours: 40/week
Start: ASAP – within the next few weeks
Contract: 13 weeks

Role Overview

Seeking an OR RN skilled in both scrub & circulate. You’ll join a fast-paced surgical team in a small rural hospital with 7 ORs (including a c-section and endovascular suite).

Typical Case Mix:

• 1–2 C-Sections/week

• ~6 Endovascular cases/week

• 20–25 Cataracts/week

• General, Urology, ENT, Podiatry, Gyne, Ortho (ortho ~4 days/week)

Call & Schedule

• 2 call shifts per week + 1 weekend per month

• Surgery runs 7:30a – 3:30p (occasional early starts at 6:15–6:30a)

• Must be flexible to stay past shift if cases are still running

Requirements

• OR RN experience (scrub + circulate)

• Flexibility & willingness to support call coverage

• Comfort with paper charting (Cerner now, Epic go-live in November)

This is a high-urgency opening — the team is looking for someone ready to step in quickly and help manage surgical volume and call.

ICU / CCU RN – Sterling, IL
